Founder, Curriculum Director, and Educator
Fotios Kasolis was born in Thessaloniki, where he studied in the Physics Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (BSc). After completing his studies in Greece, he pursued postgraduate studies in Lund, Sweden, specializing in Mathematical Physics (MSc). In 2014, he was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Umeå University in Sweden in the field of Computational Science and Engineering. He worked for seven years at the University of Wuppertal (BUW) as research staff and lecturer. Since February 2024, he is employed as a computer science expert in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) at ISR, developing the AI curriculum and teaching mathematics and computer science for the IB and IGCSE.
